Ever Green rocked MIT with Deep Purple’s Perfect Stranger in Revels ’09. While the crowd was ponderously waiting for the problem with the equipments to be laundered,they came like a fire and swept the air around to a cyclone of thrills. Heretic was supposed to come but they didn’t turn up due to some circumstances. However, Ever Green expunged all the depression and kept the crowd alive. According to organizers, Opeth will be a wonderland for the next Revels.If it goes fine it will be awesome.So to all the music fans listen to Evergreen’s latest hit “Altar of Dreams” .

Eastern Battle of Bands is a part of “Revels” , a cultural fest of  our college. It was held on 4th of March this time i.e on the first day. We were told that there won’t be any such event this time as there were no other bands and later told us (Zehen-thats our band) to give a half an hour performance.Just before the registration in the morning we got to know that a Band from NIT-K was coming and we got so excited as we were told that the competetion was on again.

Later in the evening while we were back stage another band from MIT turned up and we thought yeah…its gonna be fun now! The first band performed was from NIT-K.Inspite of taking so much time in sound check they managed to do pretty good.There were couple of moments when there music went so messy but i truly agree its because of our Marshall MG series amps (worst and cheapest of its kind).

Then it was our turn and we performed three songs.First one was ‘Khidki’ by Raghu Dixit ( Its a new band coming up with a project known as the Raghu Dixit project).Second was ‘Bande’ by Indian Ocean.I think the crowd enjoyed it and the last but not the least was ‘Nayan tarse and Emotional Attyachar ‘ from DevD.

And then the third band performed which i missed as i went to

have dinner.Later i was being told that we have actually WON

and there were two winners. We had to share with the band

from NIT-K.It was a awesome experience and with Rs 8-9K we

have now got enough budget to purcase our new Bass Guitar.

I read this yesterday and i find it really expressive

A Valentine is nothing like

Python Workshop

Going to attend Python Workshop. It will start at 5:30 and the best thing i had today is the sleep of 2 hours i had just a few hours ago.Real madness!

I was reading about the quantum dots this morning; and suddenly ( i don’t know how ) i got linked to a website about this amazing formula! If you want to find the day of a week of any day,any month,any year ; you don’t have to scratch your head this time coz now you’ve got this formula…

and if u want to calculate for march 13th 2000

• d=13
• m=3
• y=2000
• [ ] means the greatest integer
• mod 7= the remainder when the grand total inside the largest brackets is divided by 7

so for march 13th 2000: the calculations inside the largest brackets 7+13+4+2000+500-20+5-2=2507

mod 7=2507/7 =1 (since 2507=7×358+1) i.e. D=1 so it is monday.. like 0=sunday;1=monday and so on…

AVP : Requiem coming soon!!!

Finally AVP:2…. ” Aliens versus Predators:Requiem” is releasing on 25th December 2007 .According to some sources,there have been some design changes of the creatures like the ridge-headed aliens and a slimmer, more athletic Predator.The weapons are ofcourse modified!!! The Predator now carries two plasma casters, and uses a bladed disk.Predaters has received a new weapon ( like a whip ) that can cut enemies.The Predalien will appear this tyme too! So the thunderous fights between the predator and the predalien’s gonna be awesome.. and guess what!!!! The brothers strause have even announced the title of the third film;its named “Aliens versus Predators: Apocalypse”. You can know more about it from its Official Website .
